Currently serving a population of 2,509, the Roxbury Library is a source of lifetime learning and a valued community center for Roxbury and neighboring communities. The library offers patrons the opportunity to borrow from an extensive collection of books, periodicals, videocassettes, and audiotapes.

As a Four County Library System member, the Roxbury Library enables patrons to acquire interlibrary loan books through the 4CLS lending system. The newly renovated and redesigned Irma Mae Griffin History Room provides library patrons and visitors with the opportunity to conduct historical or genealogical research and to view THE ROXBURY TIMES on microfilm, with printer capacity.

apple pressing demo for children at the libraryIn addition to hosting annual programs and events for children and adults, the library makes a copy machine, a fax machine, a laser printer, two computer stations, and a Thrift Shoppe available to the public. The dedication and the expertise of the Roxbury Library Quilters enable the Roxbury Library Association to offer library patrons and visitors the opportunity to participate in an annual quilt raffle. Copies of Irma Mae Griffin's HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF ROXBURY are also available for purchase at the library.

Annual library membership dues are $7.50 for Roxbury Central School District resident individuals, $15.00 for Roxbury Central School District resident families, and $20.00 for individuals and families residing outside the Roxbury Central School District.
