Winter CarnivalRoxbury Winter Carnival Schedule

Festivities abound with a different event every day

Saturday, Feb. 17 7-10 pm
Paprika
This spicy worldbeat all-female band will launch Carnival in true hot chili style. Blast your winter blahs away with a warm, electric global boogie. These sophisticated ladies cover a lot of musical ground: Latin, Caribbean, Reggae, and Brazilian influences meet the exotic Mediterranean, Asia near and far, and Africa -- a sound that is surprising and "irresistibly danceable" at once. The Roxbury Arts Group Hall will be decked out in the spirit of "Carnival" with glitter, masks and boas afloat throughout the hall. Come in masks or face paint yourself to unleash your wildest party self for a night of great food, spirits, song and most of all -- dance! Beer, wine, and authentic Argentinean fare will be provided by the Public Lounge. Co-sponsored by Roxbury Arts Group and Kirkside Park. (listen to audio samples from Paprika)
LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE, BOOK NOW. $12 per person or $10 per person when you book a table of 8. 607 326-7908.
