LEARNING THE BALLOT ABCs — At the May 15 RCS election, Alyce Bolger and Kelsey O’Brien were first time voters; Rita Zorda demonstrates how the voting machines work. The RSC budget and propositions passed handily.
CRUNCH THE NUMBERS — Superintendent Carr (center) works with volunteers to determine that all votes are tallied and certified, including some write-in and absentee ballots.
SOLEMNLY SWEAR — RCS Board President Phil Zorda (right) administers the oath of office to newly elected board member Will Finch immediately after the election, so that there would be no vacancy on the school board. The board thanked Jenny Liddle, who had served as an appointee until the election, for her service, and then bestowed on Finch some thick binders of “homework.”
