Call For Artists

I'm an independent curator from New York City. I would like to know as many contemporary artists in the area across all mediums, and level, whether he or she is an emerging artist, mid-career, or established who are living and/or working in the Hudson Valley. I am also interested in artists who have participated in residency programs in the Hudson Valley area as I am a firm believer that environment and new surrounding, inspire and effect new work. I am focusing my efforts on seeking artists from this area because I believe there is a richness and uniqueness that New York City is blind to. I am advocating an increase in visibility for artists to be exhibited in both locales.
I have a few shows that I am curating this year and next year that need a representation of artists from the Hudson Valley area. Would it be possible for you to send out an open artist call for submission through your mailing list and/or post it on your website including the following information above and the submission guidelines below?
Submissions are open to all media, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, works on paper, installation, new media, and performance art. How to submit:
Send current resume, artist statement, and website address if available. Please also include 10 to 15 images of digital color photographs or 10-minute reels on a Mac compatible CD/DVD labeled with your name and contact information. Do not send originals. Include a SASE for package return. Provide a corresponding image list (hard copy) that includes title, media, date of creation, and size of each work.
