Halcottsville Old Grange Arts Festival offers up a feast of "Catskill Images"

Aerial Photo of Halcottsville will become a collectors' item right off the auction block

This stunning image (scroll down the page) of the hamlet of Halcottsville by Catskill Images is just one of the unique offerings of local artwork that you can bid on during the Halcottsville Old Grange (H.O.G.) Arts Festival on Saturday, Sept. 15. Grow your own collection of "Catskill images" while benefiting one of our local treasures: the community space at the Halcottsville Old Grange Hall. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can enjoy fellowship, food, art on display and country fiddling before the auction fun begins at 2 p.m., led by that master of speedy-speak and colorful Halcottsville personality, Dave Riordan.

"The concept of sharing our wealth of Catskills beauty to help rehabilitate our historic community space was a compelling idea for the Halcottsville Fire Department Auxiliary," said H.O.G. Arts Festival organizer Barbara Johnson. "Our community is brimming with brilliant artists who love the carefree and socially conscious spirit of our little village. They've donated some of their most worthy pieces to help us raise the money we need to bring the Old Grange Hall, which used to be home to the Wawaka Grange, back to life."

Even amidst such artistic riches, Catskill Images’ aerial shot of Halcottsville is something special. Since Ribich began her photographic business, Catskill Images, a few years ago, she has made a name for herself for her extraordinary community involvement. You've probably seen her at the high school play, capturing some once-in-a-lifetime moments for parents or at a CRAS auction, donating her services. "It all comes back tenfold in my quality of life," says Ribich, who loves what she does and whose affection for her subjects (be they human, canine, feline or the splendid Catskills scenery) comes through in every photo she takes.

Catskill Images offers a wide range of styles for weddings and portraits, including traditional, journalistic, classic, retro, artistic, modern and high fashion! Jill and her "flying partner" Tim Bookhout, will happily travel to any destination in Upstate New York, The Hudson Valley or the Catskills. With more accommodations, catering and quality event planners available all the time, this area of the Catskills is quickly becoming a favorite "destination wedding" location for brides living in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the Northeast. Ribich is a wonderfully creative photographer, able to accommodate the most demanding clientele in addition to being a dedicated provider for local events.

Catskill Images also excels in senior portraits, family portraits, event photography, and jury slides for artists. One of Ribich's "pet" specialties is — pet photography, either with or without their humans. Visit Catskill Images on line at www.catskillimages.net.
