Roxbury Central School will become only the SECOND school in New York to stage Disney's phenomenally successful 2006 musical hit about teenagers learning to follow their own lights, even when it might conflict with the prevailing pressures of their own high school clique. Teens and grownups will all find characters and moments to identify with as everyone in the cast sings and dances their way to their own special sense of who they are. Once again, Jo Hinkley directs this year's production with assistance from Lynn Haroldson. Bonnie Walker dresses everyone in style, and Steven Hitt teaches the cast how to hoof it in lockstep — except when they need to march to their own drummer, of course! Richard Tucker is the maestro of musical direction.
Don't be a square: be sure to catch a seat with the "in crowd" at this year's Roxbury Central School musical extravaganza, 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11.
PS. It looks like at least one cast member will be wearing more than greasepaint on her face! You'll have to get a ticket to find out more!
