RCS Elementary School Concert
HO HO HO, IT’S SRO
It was standing room only at the RCS Cafetorium
Wednesday evening, Dec. 6, for the RCS Elementary Winter Concert. Under the
cheerful leadership of Choral Director Carol Ann Dykstra, Instrumental Director
Mike McAfee, and accompanist Marianne Schor, Roxbury students in grades K-6
regaled the crowd with a mix of traditional and surprising holiday choices,
including “Winter Wonderland,” “Nutcracker March,” Jingle
Bells,” “Reindeer Boogie” and “Rockin’ Rudolph." McAfee
and Dykstra noted that the elementary band and several of the choruses were
already performing music beyond their grade levels. Looks like they were
having a really good time, too!
