Reception for Jenny Liddle at RAG

Nearly 100 people gathered in the Hilt Kelly Hall of the Roxbury Arts Group on Sunday, November 5, to say good-bye to Executive Director Jenny Liddle. Ms Liddle, who has led the Arts Group for seven years, is leaving to pursue other interests. Kathleen Mami-Moore, the Legislative Assistant to Assemblyman Clifford Crouch, presented Ms Liddle with a framed citation thanking her for significant contributions to the community and to the arts. Steven Hitt, President of the RAG Board of Directors thanked her for her leadership and presented a gift from the Board of Directors.

In a brief speech, Ms Liddle said that the strong turnout was as much a tribute to the strength of the arts community as it was to her. It was, she noted, a symbol of how much the arts mean and how much they are needed, and she expressed pleasure and satisfaction in the role that RAG has played in meeting those needs. When a photographer asked for all present and former board members to pose for a picture, nearly 30 of the assembled guests gathered around Ms Liddle.

Susan Kenny of Oneonta who was present at the reception will assume the job of RAG’s Executive Director.
