Peg Ellsworth, who as a professional grantwriter has helped The Town of Roxbury, Kirkside Park and countless not-for-profit organizations to obtain substantial grant monies, will give a hands-on grant writing workshop at The Roxbury Arts Group on Saturday April 12 from 10am – 1 pm.
“Grantwriting’s not rocket science,” says Peg, “but it helps a lot to have a grip on the basics. Obtaining funding is extremely competitive and funding resources are increasingly scarce. It’s important to understand what you’re doing.”
This program will help beginners to learn how to develop a project based on needs, identify sources, and solicit funding. The seminar will cover the basics of developing clear and concise narrative descriptions, proposed outcomes, and evaluation methods. This is an important program for all individuals and not-for-profit organizations who want to be able to write more effective grant applications.
