Annual Student Art Show at RAG
RAG’s
annual exhibit of all-media art by middle and high school students from Andes,
Margaret and Roxbury Central Schools will have an opening reception on Saturday,
January 19th in the Old Bank Gallery on Main St. Roxbury from 2-4 pm.
The exhibit will continue through March 17.
Visitors to this exhibit should expect to see fresh and unexpected work by talented students working in a wide variety of genres, from pen and ink through ceramic and film. RAG Gallelry Curator John Hopkins says that he sees these annual exhibits as an opportunity for the participants to begin to see the value of their work and of the visual arts in general.
Some of the efforts are collaborative. Andes Central School students Justun Mohr, Cody Ruff and Taylor Murray have been working together to create a fanciful ceramic menagerie.
