Tournament formats and rules

Home Team is printed in bold and is listed first in the match line up

Overhand Bracket
All games will consist of 7 innings or 2 hours whichever comes first. The umpire will call the last inning no later than 10 minutes prior to the two hour limit.
All overhand clubs will play one game as the home team in their specialty style & era of play.

Underhand Bracket
All games will consist of 9 innings or 2 hours. The umpire will call the last inning no later than 10 minutes prior to the two hour limit.
All underhand games are played by the 1864 rules.

Advancing to the Championship
The teams going to the championship will be based on the following:

  1. Team with best record
  2. If tied, then team with least runs given up
  3. It still tied, team with most runs scored.

Keator Cup championship games are played in the 1864 format for the underhand championship and 1898 for the overhand championship. Each Championship game is 9 innings.
